Combining Finite Element and Machine Learning Methods to Predict Structures of Architectured Interlocking Ceramics

A smart method, a combination of finite element and machine learning techniques, has been developed to predict the thermo-mechanical responses architectured ceramics as described in article, number 2201408, by Hamidreza Yazdani Sarvestani, Mikko Karttunen, Behnam Ashrafi, co-workers. The strategy is able find high-performance subjected various loading with reduced computational cost. These materials can be manufactured using subtractive manufacturing scalable platform.
